Los Alamitos Unified School District Educational Foundation is an independent non-profit organization with the purpose of providing fundraising for the District that would otherwise be unavailable. The Educational Foundation, in conjunction with the District and Board of Education, will determine specific needs that will support the District. The Educational Foundation will provide support for the mutually agreed upon projects so that the District can maintain a high level of excellence.

Summer Enrichment Institute

June 28 – July 23

As of June 28th registration will only be taken at the SEI office located on the campus of Lee Elementary School,

11481 Foster Road in Los Alamitos.

Closed for Lunch from 12:00pm – 1:00pm

The Summer Enrichment Institute (SEI) offers enrichment courses for students in entering Kindergarten through twelfth grade. Courses will run between June 28 and July 23, 2010. Courses vary from one week to four weeks in length and one to three hours per day. Courses are offered across the content areas in math, science, language arts, technology, visual and performing arts, test preparation and physical fitness.

Priority registration closed on May 21, 2010. Registration is now on-going based on class availability, up to the Friday before a course begins. As of April 26th, registration for courses is open to any and all students, including those who do not attend LAUSD during the regular school year.

Need to Get From “ CampFun in the Sun” and Summer Enrichment Classes?

Summer Enrichment Institute (SEI) and “LAUSD Kids Korner” working hand-in-hand to allow parents extended childcare before-and-after summer enrichment courses.

Have the freedom to enroll your K-5 student in morning summer enrichment courses and attend “ CampFun in the Sun”.K-5 students who take any course(s) between 8:00am – 12:00pm can sign-up for walking transportation to and from “ CampFun in the Sun” and the SEI.This will allow students to participate in fun and exciting summer courses and still participate in the afternoon field trips run by “ CampFun in the Sun”.

“CampFun in the Sun”, housed at RossmoorElementary School, is just three blocks from the SEI, housed at LeeElementary School.A designated school district employee will walk students to and from the camp and their classes, assuring they arrive safely and on-time.

5 day a week transportation = $10 a week fee
2-3 day a week transportation = $5 a week fee

Make sure that you enroll your child in both “ CampFun in the Sun” and the desired morning (8am-12pm) Summer Enrichment Institute course(s).Then simply fill out the consent form below to have your child escorted to and from camp and their classes.
