Grades K-5
Students are required to demonstrate mastery of grade level standards before being promoted to the next grade level. Consequently, K-5 summer school will be offered only to students who have not met grade level standards. If a student is currently not meeting grade level standards in one or more of the academic areas, parents will be notified and given a summer school application in April. Summer School classes will be held at Rossmoor Elementary School.
Grades 6-12
The Los Alamitos Unified School District will again be offering high school courses for remediation. Remediation or make-up classes are for students who need to repeat a failing grade or improve a semester grade. There is no fee for these classes. Middle and High School classes will be held at Los Alamitos High School.
We are pleased to announce that the Los Alamitos Unified School District Educational Foundation will be offering enrichment courses K-12 along with the regular summer school program offered by the District. Enrichment courses are tuition-based classes offered through the LAUSD Educational Foundation. Students who register for these classes must pay a fee to the LAUSD Educational Foundation.
