The Los Alamitos Unified School District is accepting interdistrict transfer students in Transitional Kindergarten through 10th grade for the 2013-14 school year (new 10th grade interdistrict permits must enroll by the first day of school).

Accepting Interdistrict Transfer Agreements is a year-to year decision and can change from one year to the next. There are limited openings in all of our award-winning schools. Los Alamitos Unified School District will begin processing Interdistrict Transfer Agreements for the 2013-14 school year on March 1, 2013.

K-8 Interdistrict Permit Agreements – K-8 Interdistrict Transfer Agreements are accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis provided space availability and the interdistrict transfer student meeting satisfactory attendance and citizenship eligibility requirements.

9^th and 10^th grade Interdistrict Permit Agreements – A limited number of new 9^th and 10^th grade Interdistrict Transfer Agreements will be accepted for the 2013-14 school year. All new 9^th and 10^th grade Interdistrict Transfer Agreements submitted by Tuesday, April 30, 2013, who meet the satisfactory attendance and citizenship eligibility requirements, will be placed in a lottery, if necessary. Interdistrict Transfer Agreements entered into the lottery must submit all required supporting documents by April 30, 2013. Interdistrict Transfer Agreements will be accepted after April 30, 2013, based on space availability. We do not anticipate accepting new 10^th grade interdistrict permits in the 2014-15 school year.

For families residing outside Los Alamitos Unified School District, parents should first contact their district of residence to request an Interdistrict Transfer Agreement. After getting Agreement form the district of residence, submit the Interdistrict Transfer Agreement to:
