At Weaver Elementary School, we value our parents as partners in education.  There are many ways for you to become involved in your child's school.  Here is a list of opportunities available to our parents:

1. Classroom volunteer ( set up with the classroom teacher. If you are new you must participate in the parent volunteer training on 8/29/08 at 8:15 a.m.)

2. PTA member (meetings are in the evening at 7:00 p.m. and are on our calendar page)

3. School Site Council ( this is an elected position.  meetings are held at 3:30 in the afternoon each month)

4. Meet the Masters volunteer (help with art education in the classroom 5X a year)

5. Schoolwide Carnival (we need help with set up all day on 9/19)

6. Bookfair volunteers (contact PTA )

7. Fieldtrip chaperones (arrange with classroom teacher)

8. Ice cream social scoopers and helpers (8/14/09)

9. Media Center volunteers (inquire with Mrs. Tom in the Media Center)

10. Friends of Weaver member (meet on Friday mornings after flag each month)
