Welcome to a great new year in fourth grade!
Announcements
Homework assignments and important dates are written in the Minder Binder each day. Every Friday we organize our class binders together at the end of the day. Please make sure your student is cleaning out their binder at the end of each week. It's important to save the vocabulary flashcards as we have review units every five weeks. All spelling/vocabulary lists and flashcards should be kept in the Binder until we have taken the review test. All tests and quizzes are sent home Friday.
 
Please make sure your child is completing their nightly reading homework (20 minutes) and filling in their Reading Log. Completed Reading Logs are due each month. The Reading Log can be downloaded from the Weaver PTA website.
 
Parent/Teacher/Student Goal-Setting Conferences will begin on Monday, October 29. The purpose of the conference is for your child to set goals for him- or herself in the areas of academics, study habits and social skills. Prior to our conference, your child will be sharing their report card with you at home. Conferences will last 20 minutes and will focus on goal-setting for your child. Your child must be present at the conference as it is focused on their individual needs. More information will follow.

I am usually available for short meetings Mondays, Thursdays or Fridays after school. Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school are reserved for staff and grade level meetings.
