Announcements
The homework this week is a family project. It is a turkey which is due to next week, the day of their share or on Wednesday when the homework folder is due. Use your imagination and decorate the turkey after cutting out the turkey and gluing it together. Name your turkey and add the additional information on the half sheet. Your child will be sharing their turkey next week, Nov. 9-13. Next Wednesday is Veterans Day and a holiday so...those students who share on Wednesday will share their turkey on Thursday.
The speeches have been great! I can tell you have practiced and practiced. Thank You. Sharing is a part of their homework and I appreciate the time you are giving to it.
Parent Conferences are coming up, Nov 12, 13, 16, 17, & 19. Students will be dismissed early those days at 12:25 p.m.
The Thanksgiving holiday will be here before you know it! To celebrate this we will be having a small feast with our 2nd grade buddies. We will be needing Turkey hot dogs, popcorn, sliced apples. apple juice,muffins, and paper goods, etc. Our room mom will be calling or e-mailing to secure the items listed above. Thanks in advance for the donation of any of the items.
*****Special Recognition****Our room mom, Berenice Fitzgerald, is doing an amazing job! The volunteer schedule, the carnival booth,and emergency kits, just to name a few. This job takes a lot of time and we all truly appreciate all you do !!! Thank You and Thanks you to all parents-- you are always stepping up to the plate to help out!!!
