In the spring, teachers in grades 3, 4, and 5 identify students who exhibit gifted qualities. A screening form is completed and reviewed by the GATE committee.

After review of work samples and assessment data, a student may be recommended for further testing. After testing is completed, a committee determines eligibility. Identified students receive differentiated instruction in the core curricular areas within their classrooms.
