The final Parent Education Night of the school year will be held in the LAHS Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, May 6th from 7:00-8:30pm. The topic is "Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation." The guest speaker will be Opal Singelton from the Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force. The information is for all parents and for students 6th grade and up. For more information, please see the flyer.
Welcome back to all
of you for what I hope was a beautiful and restful spring break! The
upcoming weeks will be busy. Registration for current 6th, 7th and 8th graders
will take place. Two Parent Nights for 8th graders will be taking place before
the end of the month, and I encourage all parents and students to attend.
When making the transition from middle school to high school it is
critical to have all the information you need to feel confident about your
children moving forward.
This time of the year is bittersweet. I always feel happy, as I know our 8th grade students are well prepared and ready to move on. I also feel some sadness, as do our teachers, for we have watched your children transform into amazing young adults and have a place in our hearts for all of them. Middle school is a precious time, and I hope that we have served you well.
Although we will be busy, please do not forget that we are here to support and serve our students and our parents. Please do hesitate to drop in or call us if you need anything - we are happy to help you.
