Each year, LAEF (Los Alamitos Education Foundation) donates well over $100,000 to our District to hire additional intervention teachers who are assigned to the classes and subject areas with the most critical need, including language, math and science. Intervention teachers help all students receive more individual attention and targeted instruction. The addition of intervention teachers to an already exceptional teaching staff was a critical component in last years' successful district-wide increase in API scores. This year, LAEF's annual campaign goal is $150,000! Imagine what we can accomplish this year with an increase in teaching resources. Imagine the difference we can achieve for Weaver students. To date, LAEF has raised over $43,000 toward the annual campaign goal of $150,00.
