Welcome to Jack L. Weaver Elementary School, a great place to learn. Weaver School is the only year-round, choice school in the Los Alamitos School District. As a single track year-round school, we provide students with a continuous opportunity for learning. Re-opened in 1996, Weaver has become an outstanding school with exceptional students, staff, and programs. Weaver has received numerous state and national awards and recognitions, and continues to be among the top performing schools in Orange County and in the state of California.

The staff at Weaver believes that ALL children can learn and succeed. The elementary years are a time for growth, challenge, and discovery. Our signature instructional practices provide students with a rigorous academic experience. That, along with the infusion of collaboration, communication, creativity and innovation, and critical thinking and problem solving skills, arms our students for success in a rapidly changing global society we can't yet imagine. At Weaver we also foster risk taking and self-advocacy skills for all students.

Weaver School believes in and focuses on a collaborative team effort with our staff, students, parents, and community members. We do not take lightly the trust you have placed in us with the education and well-being of your child. The school’s culture reflects the highest standard of professional dedication and performance.

Our home-school partnership is the cornerstone to our success.  If you are not already involved with the outstanding and hard-working PTA, Friends of Weaver, and School Site Council, I urge you to become involved. We would love for you to join one of these groups and/or volunteer in the classrooms. Your time and support means so much and truly makes a difference.

As your fervently proud principal, I look forward to an exciting year of learning and growth. I hope to see all of you actively involved in the Weaver community and look forward to working with you. If you have any questions or concerns, I will happily assist you.  Please call the school office at (562) 799-4580 for an appointment or e-mail me at rbriggerman@losal.org. Important information is also found on our website at www.losal.org/weaver
