Outdoor Science School 2018-2019
Students will be attending Outdoor Science School at the California Outdoor Educational and Science Program (C.O.D.E.S.), which is located in the San Bernardino National Forest and operates at Mile High Pines Camp in Angelus Oaks. C.O.D.E.S. School offers a four-day program that incorporates several subjects and topics so students receive a balanced educational learning experience while they are away from their classroom. The program consists of eight disciplines: Mathematics, Environmental Studies, History/Social Science, English, Science, Physical Education, Health, and Visual/Performing Arts.
C.O.D.E.S. School offers modernized facilities, daily instruction by naturalists, and nighttime supervision by C.O.D.E.S. counselors. Fifth-grade teachers also join students for their 4-day OSS experience. There will be a Fall OSS Parent Information Night at your child's elementary school where you will receive detailed information about OSS and have an opportunity to ask questions. The cost of the four day program is $300 per student. Information regarding OSS Scholarships will also be shared during the Fall Parent Presentation.
The dates for Outdoor Science School will be Tuesday, April 9 through Friday, April 12. Here is the Camp Website
