The Facilities team focuses on the various stages of projects such as pre-planning, planning, design, bidding, construction and close-out. Since the completion of the modernization projects that were funded primarily by the 2008 General Obligation Bonds, also know as Measure K funds, the Los Alamitos Unified School District continues to make improvements to the school sites through deferred maintenance projects. These improvements include the replacement of aging playground structures, additional classroom learning spaces, replacement of aging and/or non-functioning systems and infrastructure, parking lot expansions and energy conservation projects.
In 2018, the community passed a general obligation bond known as Measure G and projects are being implemented across the District.
