    CHROMEBOOKS GR. 2-5:

    The Los Alamitos Unified School District and McGaugh implemented a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) Program four years ago in grades 3-5. The device we have adopted for these grade levels is the Chromebook. This year, we are extending the BYOD program to grade 2 where our second-grade students are learning skills such as keyboarding, operating a mouse, formatting, and cutting and pasting to name a few. The minimum requirements are listed below and you may purchase a Chromebook at Classroomgenie.org or at Amazon Smile naming Project SEEK:

    2GB RAM(memory); 4GB recommended

    Wireless Adapter โ€

    Wireless 5GHz Dualโ€Band minimum; Wireless 802.11AC highly recommended

     

    School Supplies and Chromebooks are shipped to your home (some bulk items shipped to the school) at no additional cost. Emergency Kits are shipped to the school at the beginning of the school year and delivered to the classrooms.
