Welcome to my webpage.  I'm the Elementary Music Specialist for Weaver Elementary School.  I am honored to be a part of this staff and will do my best to help ignite possibility of love and curiosity in your child about the "language of music".  A little about me:  Born in Long Beach, California and always involved in school music.  My goal from second grade on was to be a "music teacher", amazing what happens when you plant a seed.  I'm primarily a vocalist having studied classical voice all through out college and after.  For many years as a child, I studied piano, and for fun, I play the "dulcimer".   Other tidbits about me that you might find interesting:  I raised my 3 children in Los Alamitos Unified.   I can talk Los Al baseball, song and cheer, and show choir.....We did it all.  Now I'm thrilled to have a granddaughter starting Weaver this year.  I truly want the best for your child, so feel free to talk to me if you have any concerns or questions about your child and music at Weaver Elementary.

    Announcements

WEAVER CHOIR starts Wednesday after school, August 24th

Weaver Choir is open to ALL 4th and 5th Grade students.  We perform 3 times during the year, check under IMPORTANT DATES!  We meet after school every Wednesday for one hour to learn music and to begin to understand some basic "vocal techniques".  There is no charge, but we do ask that you provide a "choir t-shirt" for you student.  We use the same shirt year after year, so if you would like, borrow a shirt from a prior choir member, or purchase one for a $12.00 donation.

There is "NO" audition, we are looking for students who like to sing and are willing to attend on a regular basis every Wednesday.  If your student is interested, please have them come try-out Choir on August 24th, and August 31st.  Starting on September 7th, I would like to have a commitment from your student to participate in Choir for the year.
