Oak is proud to have the AIMS intervention program as a resource to help support and increase student achievement and responsibility.  The AIMS acronym stands for Academic Improvement Management System and it allows teachers to provide at-risk students with the additional help they need in order to succeed.
The program runs for three hours (8am-11am), every other Saturday. During the first hour of AIMS, students will receive support and assistance on how to improve their organization and boost their study skills. For the remaining 2 hours, students will receive help completing their missing work.
Teacher will give students who are assigned to AIMS a permission slip and a list of missing assignments.  Students have the option to complete and turn in the missing work by the Thursday before AIMS Saturday to be excused from attending AIMS on Saturday.

When coming to AIMS, students must bring:

    1. All missing work

    2. All school supplies (notebooks, folders, binders, minder binder, etc.)

    3. Textbooks (we will also have the textbook carts available)

    4. An empty, 3-ring binder

    5. Pens, pencils, highlighters

    6. An independent reading book
