    Mrs. Debby Segal
    3rd Grade Teacher
    Room 17

For those of you who don’t know me, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Debby Segal, and teaching is my life’s work. I love children! I always have! From the time I was 8 years old, I wanted nothing more than to be a teacher. Inspiring young people feeds my soul. Seeing that light bulb go off when a child finally understands, is one of my greatest joys. I take my career very seriously and believe teaching to be one of the most important jobs there is. I have been working with children for nearly 30 years and get better at my craft with each passing year of experience. I have taught in grades 2nd through 5th, but teaching third is may very favorite of all. I have extensive training in Reader’s & Writer’s Workshop, CGI, Thinking Maps, Balanced Literacy, and Guided Reading…just to name a few. I am fortunate to have first hand knowledge of where my third graders have come from and also where they need to be at the end of this year in order to have a successful transition to 4th grade.
