Thank you for volunteering as a L.A.E. Classroom Coordinator
My name is Nicole Whittaker and I am the Room Coordinator Chair for this school year!
What does a Room Coordinator do? The duties of a Classroom Coordinator are to help organize classroom activities, assist the teacher, and to communicate upcoming classroom and school-wide activities to the other parents and students in your classroom.
A Room Coordinator’s goal is to encourage parents, grandparents, family and friends to become involved in activities at LAE. Participation from volunteers is often necessary to make classroom and school functions a success.
Being a Room Coordinator is a good way to meet other parents at LAE. It’s also a great way to get to know your child’s teacher and the other children in the class.
As Room Coordinator, you are responsible for getting your class involved and participating in events that happen throughout the school year at LAE.
Our first Room Coordinator meeting will be next Wednesday, September 5, 2018. We will meet in room 26 (Kids Korner) at 8:00am. At the meeting, I will go over some general information for you and explain what it means to be a room coordinator. I will have a lot of information for you, including some fun teacher information and your class lists. I will also discuss Fit-A-Thon (one of our school's biggest fundraisers!!) and how you can assist your class and teacher!
There will be meetings throughout the year to help you get started in your classrooms. As a Room Coordinator, you are not alone. I am here to guide you along the way.
