     PTA's Mission Statement

    The PTA of Los Alamitos Elementary strives to create an environment that will help our children, teachers and parents create scholars of the future.
     
    How do all of the students benefit from PTA's fundraising?

    PTA funds student programs such as technology that the students use, FIBO (art program), Accelerated Reader (AR), Learning A-Z, Imagination Machine (writing/performance of stories) and Red Ribbon Week (drug awareness). We also provide annual State Testing (Common Core) snacks (Cheerios & OJ) before school to all students on test days. We help keep the first aid kits updated with supplies. We provide new library books ($1,000+) to the Media Center annually. We make contributions to technologies (Dell Laptops, Chromebooks, iPads and tablets), Makerspace, as well as teacher and student support. PTA has also given back to our community (We Care of Los Al, Casa Youth Shelter, the Joint Forces Base and the Rossmoor Library). We also provide family fun events such as Movie Night and Carnival in the Spring.
