Ensuring We Have the Most Up-to-Date Information for Your Student
At Los Alamitos Unified School District, we’re committed to providing every student with the best possible support throughout the school year. To help us do that, we ask all families to complete Online Data Confirmation each year. This important process ensures we have current and accurate information on file for your child.
What is Online Data Confirmation?
Online Data Confirmation is an annual process where families verify and update key information, including:
✔️ Emergency contacts
✔️ Health and medical details
✔️ Annual permissions and acknowledgments
Completing this process helps us ensure your student’s safety, well-being, and smooth access to services from the first day of school.
Important Dates
Online Data Confirmation Opens:
🗓️ July 18, 2025 for all Los Alamitos USD students
Your school principal will provide additional instructions on how to complete this process.
What’s New This Year?
✅ Medical Insurance Information
Families will notice a new section asking for your child’s medical insurance information.
Why are we asking for this information?
Thanks to the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI) and the state’s new Children & Youth Behavioral Health Fee Schedule, school districts like Los Alamitos USD can now seek state and federal reimbursement for school-based health-related services—such as counseling and mental health services—that students are already receiving.
These funds help us continue providing these services and allow us to reinvest in even more student supports, all without impacting your insurance coverage, co-pays, or premiums in any way.
What if my child doesn’t have health insurance?
Simply indicate that on the form. Your child will still receive all the services they need at school.
Your information is protected.
All information is protected under HIPAA and FERPA. It will only be used to determine whether the District can seek reimbursement. It will not affect your insurance, premiums, or care.
✅ Acknowledgment of New Mobile Device Policy
Families will also be asked to review and acknowledge our updated Mobile Device Policy for the 2025–26 school year.
This policy is aligned with new California law and is designed to:

🎓 Create learning environments where students can be more present, academically and socially
