Principal's Message

  • Ann Allen, Principal

On behalf of the entire staff at McAuliffe Middle School, I am happy to welcome you to the 2017-2018 school year! I would like to offer my sincere thanks to staff, students, and parents who all contributed time and hard work to ensure that the start of school was joyful and smooth.

Our custodial staff outdid themselves this summer as our campus looks amazing! Front office staff members and the District’s Technology Department did a great job assisting parents with online registration. Teachers worked in their classrooms since mid-August to make sure that students were welcomed with a warm and engaging learning environment. Parents eagerly volunteered during registration, at WEB day, during textbook checkout, PE clothes/lock distribution and more! And students seemed happy to return to school and to their friends! The McAuliffe school community is second to none, and I am grateful to work with all of you!

It is our mission to help every child and parent feel welcomed and connected to the McAuliffe family. We strive to challenge every student to grow academically, socially, and emotionally by engaging them in a rigorous academic program, a variety of clubs, a robust daily athletic program, and our exceptional visual, technical, and performing arts programs. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to work with your children.

This year begins with a few additions to our teaching staff. New staff members include: Ms. Wendy Tate – Drama, Mrs. Jennifer LeTourneau – 8th grade English/Language Arts core, Mrs. Breanna Pena – Physical Education, and Ms. Nicole Manly, Special Education. Please join me in welcoming them all to McAuliffe!

I hope that you find our website and our bi-weekly PTA newsletter helpful and informative. I encourage you to join and become connected to our school through PTA. There are many ways for parents to assist and contribute to our school culture – by helping with the variety of community service opportunities we offer for students, volunteering at school activities, chaperoning field trips and dances, and sharing job expertise as part of our Career Café program. These are just a few of the many activities we host at school, and we value and welcome your participation.

I am grateful and honored to serve as the principal of McAuliffe Middle School. It is a privilege to be part of this vibrant community where parents, students, and teachers truly care for one another and strive, together, to build positive relationships that support our students’ academic and social growth. Please feel free to contact me at 714-816-3320 or aallen@losal.org, or if you’d like, just drop by the office to visit. My door is always open, and I am happy to help you.

Once again, welcome back! Let’s make it another great year at McAuliffe! Go Eagles!

    Sincerely,
    Annie Allen, Principal
